I absolutely love every room Sandy Muraca helped us with.  Our great room is warm and elegant while at the some time incredibly family-friendly.  It is now the hub of our home.

Sandy also did a great job with our boys’ rooms.  Each truly reflects their own unique personality.  It's hard to believe that these are the same rooms I started with.

My family and I moved into a new home that is 1,000 sq. ft. smaller than our former home. We knew we would have a lot of work to do in order to make our new, smaller home functional and comfortable for our family of five. We also wanted the house to reflect our personalities and tastes. Our realtor had given us an hour of free consultation time with Muraca Design, and that is how we met Sandy.

My husband was skeptical about home decorators in general, and specifically about whether they were worth spending money on.  Hiring Sandy turned out to be the wisest money we spent. In fact, she was so good we felt most comfortable making our decisions only after getting her input. We love all of the suggestions she gave us. She has an amazing eye for color, texture, lighting, furniture placement, and function.

I met Sandy through my sister who worked with her on a remodel for their new home.  I was hesitant to call because I had worked with designers in the past and never felt they were worth the money.  There were several things I wanted to change and improve in our home but I didn’t want to spend a ton of money.

Within the first few minutes of talking with Sandy I knew we were a good match.  She was suggesting ideas and designs that made sense.  Her suggestions were practical and beautiful.  What I loved about her right away is that she was really listening to what I was saying and had constructive ways to improve our family space.  She recognized that I had three small children and we had to be able to move about in our space and enjoy our home! 

Steve and I had been considering moving for about a year before I met Sandy.  Her designs were so wonderful that we did not want to leave our beautifully re-done house!  However, I knew that I could get the same effect in our new home, so we decided to move to a new space with more land.  Sandy worked on our new home with the same amount of passion and love for design that drew me to her in previous projects.  I found it difficult to make a decision without her input.  That is how much I value her viewpoint.  She has a unique ability to really “see” things that I can’t picture.

I love what we have done in our new space.  Even though I feel I have graduated a bit in my ability to pick furniture, color, wallpaper, I still call Sandy to run my ideas through her head.  I completely trust her judgment and deeply value her insight through the design process.

Best of all, Sandy truly understands me and my family’s needs.  She never tried to create a home that was “perfect” or untouchable.  She recognizes and values the fact that we really want to live in our home and use it!  Her goal was to create a space that is special and unique for us, but usable and practical in our day to day lives.  On top of all of that she is such fun to work with.  I truly look forward to our next project together!

Muraca Design helped us turn our new house into our attractive, functional and cozy home!  Sandy assisted us with so much.  She first helped us decide how to best use our space by creating furniture layouts that guided our shopping.  Sandy then found great fabrics, paint colors, designed window treatments, located area rugs, shopped for furniture, arranged pictures and incorporated items from our previous home.

Sandy is a caring professional who worked to use what we already had while assisting us with new purchases.  She worked with our style while giving us guidance and advice.  She is a professional, creative and artistic designer who also understands how to keep our home livable and functional.  We decided to make our formal living room into a homeschool classroom. She listened to our needs and helped us with fabrics and lay-out of furniture.  Our homeschool classroom works for our schooling needs without it looking out of place with the rest of our first floor.
